Life has been stressful lately.  I needed a crochet project BAD.  So, I took out one of my vintage crochet magazines….. and found this stunning pattern for a cocktail dress….. Of course, as always seems to be the case with these things, I didn’t have enough yarn to make it. So, I ended up altering the pattern so that I could just make a shell (the top part) instead…. here’s how far I’ve gotten….(you’re looking at the back – there’s a zipper up the back) Look at the pattern again…. Rawr.  The girl sells the dress, but it’s the pin and the bangle that really makes it work.  Ergo, I need a fabulous pin. Maybe this one? I dunno. Maybe this one? Hmm…this one has matching earrings.  Verrrry interesting. I think you see where I’m going with this. Straight to fabuloustown. This shell is going to *hopefully* work perfectly with a raw silk suit that I just finished sewing.  It’s a doozy!!!  I can’t wait to enlist the help of a photographer domestic partner to take pics of me wearing it for ya’ll to see. =) <3 Erin p.s.  If you can believe it, my book it finally listed on Amazon.com!  I think it went up this morning.  At first it had the listing but said it was “out of stock” but last time I checked it said it is “in stock” now.  So, WOOO!  As exciting as that is, I think it is still worth noting that you can save 15% if you buy it from Leisure Arts’ website. It’s $12.71 there…which is only $1.05 per project!  SOOO, hot diggity.  That is a sweet deal. p.p.s. Still no sightings of the book in the wild.  DUDE, LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU SEE IT.  Take a picture with your phone, you technologically savvy person, you.  I wanna see!!!!!
